NoVa Book Babes began with a few chance meetings: Hanna and Aivy connecting at a dinner, Aivy and Katie sharing their love of reading at a happy hour, and eventually all three coming together at a Taylor Swift pop-up bar. Somewhere between the music, laughter, and shared love for books, the idea was born - to create a space for women to connect through stories and build genuine friendships. Today, they host events, discover new reads, and foster a book-loving sisterhood in Northern Virginia.

About NoVa Book Babes

Meet the Admins

Aivy

Aivy is a big fan of fantasy, thrillers, and smut, but she’s always up for trying something new. After a 3-year reading break, she jumped back into books thanks to Katie’s influence! She’s also the dog mom of Loki, who, if we’re lucky, might just make a guest appearance at one of our meetings.

Kaitie

Katie is a die-hard Swiftie and the loving owner of a rescue pup named Florence. She loves diving into fiction and fantasy, and she’s always drawn to anything motivational or uplifting. Book club has been the perfect place for her to connect her love of reading with meaningful conversations and new friendships.

Hanna

Hanna discovered her love for reading about 4 years ago and is especially into romance and fantasy. Book club has helped her branch out into new genres while also making new friends along the way. And if you haven’t heard about her pup Evie yet, just wait—you will!
